Take Charge of Your Life: Live Fully, Choose Happiness, Be You

Life is breathtakingly brief, while death stretches on endlessly. So why hesitate? Ask yourself: Should I skip the things I truly want to do? Live by others’ rules? Pile up possessions? Postpone joy? The answers boil down to this: Live. Be you. Enjoy. Love.

Next time you’re torn over a decision—whether to seize control or play it safe—pause and ask: How long am I going to be dead? That eternal perspective cuts through fears, worries, guilt, and “can I afford it?” doubts. Leave those to the immortal. If you don’t step up now, you’ll drift through life on someone else’s script. Your time on earth is short—make it yours, pleasing and true.

Busting the Intelligence Myth

Taking charge means ditching common myths, starting with this one: Intelligence equals solving complex puzzles, acing tests, or flashing credentials. We chase formal education and book smarts, breeding intellectual snobbery. But mental hospitals overflow with credentialed “geniuses”—proof that badges don’t guarantee fulfillment.

True intelligence? A happy, effective life, savored moment by moment. If you’re content, embracing each instant fully, you’re intelligent. Problems come, but they don’t define you. Choose happiness even when you can’t fix everything—or at least reject misery. That’s your shield against the so-called “N.B.D.” (Nervous Breakdown).

Spoiler: Nerves don’t break. Slice open anyone; you’ll find no shattered wires. “Intelligent” people skip N.B.D.s because they own their responses. They don’t solve every problem—they stay happy and worthy regardless. Measure your smarts by how you feel amid trials, not by conquests.

Life’s struggles are universal: conflicts, compromises, money woes, aging, illness, loss, disasters. Some crumble into despair; others thrive. The rare, wise ones see problems as human inevitabilities, not happiness killers. They dodge dejection without needing a problem-free life.

Master Your Emotions: The Road to Freedom

Society pushes against this self-command, but trust yourself: You choose your emotions. Not convinced? You’ve been taught feelings just happen—anger, fear, joy—like weather you endure. Wrong. Feelings are reactions you select. Ditch self-defeating ones, and you’re free—no detours to breakdowns.

Prove it with logic—a simple syllogism. Major premise: You control what thoughts enter your mind. (Try it: I say “pink antelope.” You can green it, swap it for an aardvark, or evict it entirely.) Minor premise: No one else runs your head— not your spouse, boss, or past. Conclusion: You alone command your thoughts and feelings.

If doubts creep in, ask: Who controls your thoughts if not you? Send them to therapy if so—you’ll heal instantly. But you know the truth. Your mind is yours to shape, share, or silence. No brainwashing here—just your power. Embrace it, and intelligence becomes living freely, happily, on your terms.

Your life, your rules. How long will you wait?
