The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins

First published January 1, 1976

It is an interesting, informative, and thought-provoking read. I appreciate Dawkins’s organization and the logical flow of the book. He strips away our comforting social conventions and forces us to take a cold, dispassionate look at who we are and why we behave the way we do. The content of this book was really interesting and well presented in layman terms.

Over 40 years have passed since it was first published. Nevertheless, I believe that this book remains relevant and a true classic among science books. You should definitely pick this up if you liked Sapiens.
